According to a one-sided editorial in the US magazine, Newsweek, masquerading as a “news article,” written by Sharon Begley with Eve Conant, Sam Stein and Eleanor Clift and Matthew Philips, there is a “well-coordinated, well-funded campaign by contrarian scientists, free-market think tanks and industry has created a paralyzing fog of doubt around climate change.”
But according to a US Senate Commitee report, 1 Newsweek knew better. Reporter Eve Conant, who interviewed Senator James Inhofe, the Ranking Member of the Environment & Public Works Committee, but chose to not include in the article the latest data "proving conclusively that it is the proponents of man-made global warming fears that enjoy a monumental funding advantage over the skeptics".
By how much? Like several thousand dollars to the lobby, for eachh dollar for 'skepticism'.
"A whopping $50 BILLION to a paltry $19 MILLION and some change for skeptics".
The “news article” in Newsweek was perhaps an attempt to make up for the Magazine’s October 23, 2006 article which tried to explain why, during the 1970’s, the magazine had anxiously predicted and warned of... run-away global cooling.
