John Hansen received a BA in English from the University of Iowa and MA in English Literature from Oklahoma State University. He has completed several projects and publications involving Frederick Douglass, Ralph Waldo Emerson, Hart Crane, Friedrich Nietzsche, Middle English, non-fiction, and poetry.
